Hastelloy G-30 (UNS N06030) is a high-performance nickel-chromium-iron alloy strengthened with molybdenum, copper, tungsten and niobium, designed for excellent resistance to complex corrosive conditions in chemical industries. With a specially optimized high-chromium composition, this alloy provides superior protection against both oxidizing and reducing acid environments compared with standard stainless steels and common nickel alloys.
It exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance in wet-process phosphoric acid, even with chloride and fluoride impurities. The material also performs well in nitric acid, mixed nitric-hydrofluoric acid and dilute sulfuric acid service. Its balanced alloy structure effectively resists pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking caused by halogen ions, ensuring long-term service stability in harsh chemical media.
